Depending on whom you ask coffee is an essential part of starting one’s day. We all know that one co-worker or friend, you can’t talk to until they’ve had their first cup of coffee. If no one comes to mind, it may just be you. This sort of problem may not be a bad thing as coffee has proven health benefits that pack more than just an energy boost in the morning.
Ode To Coffee – “Healthy Coffee”
According to Huffington Post, you can honestly say Americans are obsessed with coffee. Americans consume 400 million cups of coffee per day, equivalent to 146 billion cups of coffee per year, making the United States the leading consumer of coffee in the world. Ranked as the second largest trading commodity, surpassed only by oil. It takes only 10 minutes for the effects of caffeine to start working after you take a sip.
For some, the irresistible smell and delicious taste are enough reasons to indulge in this delicacy every morning. However, pro-founding research has emerged suggesting that drinking coffee can lower the risk of getting neurodegenerative diseases, provide preventive measures against diabetes and lower the risk of liver diseases such as cirrhosis and gastrointestinal forms of cancers. You would be surprised how many benefits coffee really has in this post we will go over some of the health and nutritional benefits of coffee and review one brand of coffee.
1. Coffee Burns Fat and improves physical Performance
Caffeine is one of the very few natural substances that has been proven to aid in fat burning, it’s no surprise why it can be found it most fat burning supplements pills or drinks found in the market today. People who drink four cups of coffee a day are 80% less likely to develop cirrhosis, a condition in which the liver has been largely replaced by scar tissue. It turns out the coffee can protect against it and from the development of several other diseases affecting the liver.
Several observational studies show coffee drinkers have a much lower risk of getting type II diabetes. Type II is a serious disease that currently afflicts more than 200 million people worldwide. Statistic indicates the risk of developing type II diabetes decreases the more coffee a person drinks you drank.
Bottom line by simply drinking one to four cups of coffee per day can significantly reduce the risk of various diseases and some types of cancer. Keep in mind when using coffee as a preventive measure, please proceed with caution and seek medical advice as drinking too much coffee can have very unpleasant adverse effects. Additionally, the use of milk, cream, sugar or other sweeteners to taste will affect the final nutritional value and may increase the calorie content.
